The Lead Product Designer will spearhead design initiatives, ensuring high standards of creativity, usability, and brand coherence across all product aspects. This role also involves mentoring team members and contributing to the development of the design system.
Responsibilities
- Partnering with product managers, engineers, researchers, and SEO, to oversee the user experience of a product from conception until launch
- Contributing to strategic decisions and helping shape priorities and scope during planning
- Design and prototype solutions that meet customer needs and achieve business outcomes
- Conduct research to build empathy and understanding of our customers and evaluate solutions during the delivery phase of projects
- Working collaboratively within a cross-functional scrum team to ship high-quality product at high velocity, balancing trade-offs and constraints along the way
- Leading or facilitating workshops to foster collaboration and alignment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in product design, UX/UI design, or a related role.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects with a focus on user-centred design principles and processes.
- Experience in conducting user research and usability testing.
- Demonstrated ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
- Experience working in agile development environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., product managers, engineers).
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices (e.g., WCAG).
- Experience with design systems and contributing to the development and maintenance of a design system.
Key Skills
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Experience in conducting user research and usability testing.
- Demonstrated ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
