The Product Designer will contribute to the Locus Design System by defining components, interactions, and patterns that scale across the product suite. They will also participate in user research and document design rationale for designers and engineers.
Responsibilities
- Contribute directly to the Locus Design System components, patterns, tokens, documentation, and usage guidelines
- Create clean, consistent, scalable UI aligned with design system foundations
- Work on component states, variations, responsive behavior, and accessibility considerations
- Support senior designers in shaping platform-level standards and improving system governance
- Participate in user research and usability observations to inform component and pattern decisions
Requirements
- 2โ3 years of experience in product design or UI/UX design
- Strong portfolio showcasing clean UI, visual hierarchy, spacing, and consistency
- Good understanding of UX fundamentals: flows, states, IA, and interaction patterns
- Hands-on proficiency in Figma
- Strong interest in design systems structure, reuse, patterns, and scalable design thinking
