Smore Labs is seeking a UI/UX Artist with strong Unity chops, rapid prototyping instincts, and a passion for kid-friendly design to help shape core flows and on-device feel for a new mobile UGC platform and a slate of core creative experiences.
Responsibilities
- Run early UI/UX exploration: wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes that clarify goals and guardrails for the team
- Create visual UI assets (icons, buttons, layouts, backgrounds, key art) using Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, or other industry-standard tools
- Build and iterate UI directly in Unity (layouts, motion, states), partnering with design and engineering to land clear, tappable, performant screens
- Own menu systems and navigation patterns end-to-end, from first-time-user flow to ongoing live updates
Requirements
- 3β8 years in game UI/UX with shipped mobile work
- Strong Unity implementation experience (Canvas/UI Toolkit/TextMesh Pro) and in-editor prototyping
- Proven experience creating production-ready UI art assets (2D art, layout systems, iconography, motion states) using Photoshop or equivalent tools
Key Skills
- Hands-on use of AI tools to accelerate exploration (ideation, layout variants, asset iteration) within safe, reviewable pipelines
- Practical mobile performance literacy for UI and an eye for input ergonomics and accessibility
