You will implement UI systems in Unreal Engine, build rapid prototypes, and collaborate with UX Designers, UI Artists, and UI Engineers. Your role will involve ensuring UI performance and assisting in the organization and documentation of workflows.
Responsibilities
- Work on UI Systems Design, break down feature/wireframes into necessary widgets, structures, and classes
- Ensure assets/UI are within memory and CPU constraints and learn to profile performance
- Implement blueprint logic when presentation logic calls for it and assist UI Artists where necessary
- Debug blueprints/UMG issues quickly using various tools and techniques
- Find ways to assist UX, UI Art, and UI engineering in organization, documentation, and building workflow improvements
Requirements
- 3-6+ years of experience in building UI and experiences in game engines and across multiple platforms
- 2+ years of experience shipping updates and new features to a user base on a regular cadence
- Professional experience using game engines (Custom engine, Unity, UE4, Lumberyard, Snowdrop, etc.)
- Logical problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to "translate" communication across departments and empower others on the team
