Picarro is seeking an experienced and talented Senior UI/UX Designer to join their dynamic team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of relevant experience in the design field and a strong portfolio demonstrating UI design skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design process for various hardware and software products
- Work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment and have worked with the agile development processes
- Conducting user research, market analysis, and competitor analysis to inform design decisions
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mock-ups to communicate design concepts and interactions effectively
- Iterating on designs based on feedback from stakeholders and usability testing
- Presenting design proposals to stakeholders and advocating for user-centric design solutions
- Solve visualization problems including but not limited to design new visualizations, understand how each visualization is best optimized for certain data, understand and optimize our visualization frameworks
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Establishing and maintaining design systems, patterns, and guidelines to ensure consistency and efficiency in design
- Mentoring junior designers and fostering a culture of design excellence within the team
- Managing design projects, timelines, and resources effectively to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality designs
- Staying updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation in product design
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Computer Science, design management) or equivalent work experience
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in the design field
- Previous experience working in a web/mobile software product company in a relevant position
- Proficiency in Figma / Sketch or other visual design tools
- Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
- A good understanding of development processes and strong ability to visually simplify complex sets of data/situations
- Ability to lead and inspire teams through collaboration
- Demonstrable UI design skills with a strong portfolio
- Passionate about innovation and strong presentation, verbal, and written skills in English
