Product Designer, Bioprocess

The Product Designer will own the end-to-end user experience for Benchling’s Process Development product, working cross-functionally with various teams. Responsibilities include defining product strategy, conducting user research, and designing high-impact initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Work with Product Management and Engineering teams to define product strategy, scope, and prioritization
• Own the design for high-impact initiatives
• Design and prototype multiple ideas quickly to validate product directions
• Conduct user research / interviews to inform product direction
• Use and contribute to evolving Design systems
• Clearly communicate design rationale to cross-functional teams
• Effectively communicate in a hybrid environment

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience driving the design of software products
• A strong portfolio of relevant design work
• A track record of working with and simplifying complex product architectures or workflows
• Strong communication skills
• Experience contributing to a design system for complex software products
• Experience working with Product Management, Engineers, and fellow Designers in an agile environment
