The Graphic Designer will conceptualize new designs and creative assets for various media, ensuring high-quality work while meeting deadlines. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and maintaining project status in management systems are also key aspects of the role.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualizing new designs and creative assets for a variety of media, including marketing materials, web design, video, motion graphics, email, social media campaigns, and digital ads/banners
- Produce accurate, high-quality work, consistently meeting all deadlines and adhering to established timelines
- Collaborate across service areas with senior designers, internal teams, and external suppliers to deliver high-quality design products to our business partners
- Remediating web PDFs and digital assets to ensure they meet Ontario accessibility standards
- Maintain project status in our project management and Digital Asset Management (DAM) system
- Participate in team meetings, client presentations and internal feedback sessions
- Continuously cultivate your design expertise by identifying new tools and resources, proactively requesting necessary training, and staying current with evolving design processes across all media, including digital and print
Requirements
- Graduate of a 3+ year post-secondary graphic design program
- 1-3+ years of work experience in graphic design
- Excellent graphic design skills in typography, page layout, colour theory and use of brand standards and design systems
- General understanding of UI/UX principles and prototyping techniques
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office and Google Suite
