Design Engineering Manager

The Design Engineering Manager provides leadership and direction to the Design Engineering staff, ensuring alignment with the organization's vision and values. They develop departmental plans to achieve both short-term and long-range goals while fostering professional development and strategic partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Communicates key messages regarding the organizations vision and values
- Establishes implementation plans for Field Engineering objectives and goals
- Identifies and explores opportunities to develop or improve internal/external partnerships
- Identifies areas for departmental improvements and develops plans to achieve them
- Develops and executes the annual capital program
- Develops methods to measure the performance of the engineering department that are linked with NiSource business goals
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- 4-6 years of operations experience in Regulation, Measurement, Electronic Measurement or Operations Engineering
- Demonstrated experience in business case analysis
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities in operations department in a technical function
Key Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with common computer applications
- Familiarity with company budgeting processes and systems
- Demonstrated knowledge & experience in system design
- Demonstrated knowledge of applicable codes and standard
Benefits
- Salary Range: $129,500.00 - $194,300.00
