UNPAID VOLUNTEER - Graphic Designer

The Graphic Designer will produce consistent, on-brand graphics across various platforms, including social media and digital campaigns. They will collaborate closely with the Social Media Director and Web Designers to support storytelling and campaign needs.
Responsibilities
- Design branded graphics for digital and print: social posts, reports, decks, website banners, and event assets
- Turn written or verbal briefs into visually clear, compelling outputs
- Collaborate with the Social Media Director to deliver timely platform-specific visuals
- Support the Web Design team with visual assets for new modules, pages, or microsites
- Create infographics and data visualisations for reports and thought leadership
Requirements
- Strong portfolio of visual design work (brand application, campaigns, layouts, infographics)
- Experience working in nonprofit, advocacy, or policy-related design environments
- Ability to synthesise complex topics into clean, engaging visuals
- Familiarity with accessibility best practices for digital content
- Strong attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple requests
Key Skills
- Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) or Figma
- Canva Pro or other quick-turn design tools
- Project coordination tools like Trello
- Light animation or motion graphics experience
- Basic understanding of WordPress asset integration
