We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented UI Designer to join our team in Malta, designing user interfaces for web and mobile applications. The role is hybrid, with a focus on collaboration with UX designers, developers, and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Designing user interfaces for web and mobile applications, ensuring consistency and modern aesthetics
- Collaborating with UX designers to translate wireframes, prototypes, and research insights into high-fidelity designs
- Developing and maintaining design systems, style guides, and component libraries
- Ensuring designs meet accessibility standards (WCAG, inclusive design principles)
- Partnering with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs
- Conducting design reviews, gathering feedback, and iterating on solutions
- Staying current with UI trends, emerging technologies, and best practices
- Contributing to building a strong design culture within the organisation
Requirements
- Proven experience as a UI Designer or in a similar design role
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma or similar
- Strong understanding of typography, color theory, grid systems, and visual hierarchy
- Experience designing for responsive and mobile-first platforms
- Familiarity with design systems and component-based approaches
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to balance creativity with functionality
Key Skills
- Proven experience as a UI Designer or in a similar design role
