The 3D Product Designer will create original designs for tableware, glassware, and sculptural work, transforming story-led concepts into products ready for production. This role involves collaboration with the design team and stakeholders to refine designs and prepare detailed specifications for manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Creating pioneering, original, and dynamic designs for new and existing product collections
  • Developing advanced 3D models with excellent proficiency in Rhino, as well as freehand sketching to explore and communicate design concepts
  • Producing low and high-fidelity prototypes, from handcrafted methods to rapid prototyping and creating photorealistic renders using KeyShot and AI-based software tools
  • Communicating and presenting design concepts to key stakeholders with confidence
  • Preparing detailed specification packs for costings and development handover
  • Refining designs for manufacturing, drafting specifications, and making informed design decisions, collaborating closely with suppliers and internal factories

Requirements

  • University educated within Product/Industrial design, or a relevant design field
  • 5-10 years of experience in a design environment
  • Strong technical knowledge and a passion for craft & materials
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to apply skills to develop original concepts
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, able to set goals and priorities
