Participate in all phases of the design process from concept development through artwork production. Support project execution from storyboard to final design, translating clients’ needs into compelling concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in all phases of the design process from concept development through artwork production
  • Translate clients’ needs and ideas into compelling concepts that express their mission and purpose
  • Support project execution from storyboard to final design
  • Engage by using curiosity, empathy, and intuition to clarify complex ideas, visions and strategies
  • Design creative, highly detailed solutions across all media types that express a unique vision, including two- and three-dimensional graphics, signage, and exhibits
  • Develop documentation for a variety of design projects to include graphic programs, wayfinding and signage systems, donor recognition programs and interpretive exhibits, under the direction of design leaders
  • Produce camera-ready artwork for fabrication
  • Communicate during team calls and actively engage in lively design critique
  • Prepare visualizations and mockups of proposed signage and graphic content on digital models
  • Collaborate with design leaders on the EGD team and the larger project team

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor degree in Graphic Design, Architecture, or related design field required
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience required
  • Strong design portfolio and background in a variety of markets
  • Strong typography skills
  • Robust communication skills and proven strategies for collaborating in fast-moving, complex project teams
  • Must have demonstrated skill and interest in 3-dimensional design, wayfinding, exhibition design and environments
  • Must have a working knowledge and experience in all phases of design process
  • Must be analytical and an independent thinker
  • Attention to detail a must
  • Proficiency on Mac in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign required
