Senior UX/UI Designer

Skydance Games is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to collaborate with the UX/UI Lead and Art Team to create high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, design systems, and style guides.

Responsibilities

• Create intuitive and engaging user interfaces for a game product
• Develop and implement user interfaces and experiences for games
• Develop and maintain UI/UX specifications and style guides
• Create wireframes, prototypes and interactive mock-ups to visualize design concepts
• Create AAA quality UI Art, implemented with Unreal Engine
• Conduct user research and usability testing to meet our product goals while understanding player needs and preferences
• Gather and integrate feedback from playtests and stakeholders to refine design
• Create and maintain design documentation, style guides, and design specifications for the development team
• Stay up to date with the latest UI/UX trends and best practices in the game industry

Requirements

• Strong portfolio showing UI/UX designs for multiple shipped games for a variety of platforms
• Experience in Unreal Engine, specifically blueprints and UMG
• Strong artistic skills and the ability to create and implement in Unreal Engine
• Experience with building UI materials & shaders in Unreal Engine
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to creative and innovative solutions
• A deep understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices
• 5+ years’ developing a game in a professional setting, with experience developing a multi-platform game from concept to launch

Benefits

• Annual salary range: $125,000 – $140,000
