Graphic Designer - Extra-Help (Part-time)

The Graphic Designer will create a variety of print and digital design products for citywide communication and design needs. This includes designing brochures, posters, logos, and graphics for web and social media platforms.
Responsibilities
- Create a variety of print and digital design products used throughout the organization and the City.
- Support campaigns, events, presentations, and public information efforts.
- Design brochures, posters, banners, logos, flyers, maps, and infographics for publication or public distribution
- Create graphics for web and social media platforms
- Make website content updates and edits using approved templates
- Edit and prepare fillable forms, charts, and presentation materials
- Format marketing and promotional pieces for citywide programs
- Perform minor photography or photo editing as needed
- Prepare final press-ready files using Adobe software on a Mac platform
- Work with the Digital Publishing team on print production requests
Requirements
- A combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to completion of high school, supplemented by college-level courses or a certificate in graphic design or computer graphics, with proficiency in Adobe design software.
- Proficiency on the Mac platform using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Experience producing clean, professional layout and graphic work for publication or online use
- Attention to typography, hierarchy, color, and brand consistency
- Collaborative communication with internal clients and reviewers
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro, CivicPlus, and Microsoft Office products
