As a UX Designer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create a delightful user experience and conduct user research to inform design decisions. You will produce detailed design deliverables and ensure product designs meet user needs and align with business goals.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to craft a delightful user experience that aligns with strategic goals for JBS and other Elsevier products
- Conduct and collaborate on user research to understand user needs and inform design decisions
- Produce detailed design deliverables such as journey maps, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and prototypes
- Ensure product designs meet user needs, support business goals, are technically feasible, and align with our design system
- Collaborate with designers across products to create aligned experiences
- Effectively communicate designs and user research data to key stakeholders
- Help improve design team practices and support other designers as needed
Requirements
- 4–6 years of experience in user experience (UX) and user research
- Proven experience as a UX/UI or Product Designer
- Advanced proficiency with design tools such as Figma
- Comprehensive portfolio demonstrating UX, UI design, and user research
- Deep knowledge of product design principles, user experience, information architecture, user flows, layout, and typography
- Skilled in conducting, documenting, and synthesizing user research
- Proficient in creating wireframes, prototypes, and iterating solutions using Figma or similar tools
- Fluency in English for effective communication
- Strong skills within a design system; visual or artistic skills are not required
- Familiarity with accessibility standards preferred
- Willingness to learn and adapt, especially in areas related to AI
- Strong collaboration skills and a proactive mindset
- Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and clearly communicate design processes and solutions
