Lead design for core flows in the 3D MachineBuilder and simplify complex technical workflows into clear, intuitive interfaces. Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define problems, run research, and validate solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead design for core flows in our 3D MachineBuilder, shaping how users design and assemble automation equipment
- Simplify complex technical workflows into clear, intuitive interfaces
- Partner with product and engineering to define problems, run research, and validate solutions
- Deliver user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished UI in Figma
- Contribute to and evolve our design system to ensure speed, quality, and consistency across the platform
- Participate in user research, usability tests, and data-driven design decisions
- Present and explain your work clearly in design reviews, with rationale rooted in user needs and business impact
Requirements
- 4–7 years of product design experience, with at least part of it focused on software products beyond websites
- Portfolio that demonstrates strong UX problem-solving, interaction design, and UI craft
- Experience designing complex tools or applications (ideally 3D, CAD, engineering, or assembly environments)
- Strong ability to structure, simplify, and communicate complex systems
- Proficiency with Figma and prototyping tools
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, execution-driven environment
Key Skills
- Proficiency with Figma and prototyping tools
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, execution-driven environment
- Experience with 3D/CAD tools (SolidWorks, Onshape, Rhino, Unity, Unreal, etc.)
- Knowledge of manufacturing, automation, or technical workflows
- Familiarity with design-to-code workflows and developer handoff practices
