A UX/UI Designer role at IBM CIC, focusing on visually compelling and user-centered designs for public sector and defence clients.

Responsibilities

  • Translate user and market research insights into visual designs that resonate and inspire action
  • Develop visual experiences that harmonize user/market insights with the brand's design language
  • Create clear and accessible visual representations of data and information
  • Utilize color, tone, layout, composition, imagery, typography, and interactions to communicate effectively
  • Ensure visual consistency and unity across the overall experience and the brand's philosophy

Requirements

  • Experience working within public sector and defence environments
  • Proven ability to create visually stunning, user-focused designs
  • Strong skills in visual communication, including color, typography, and composition
  • Ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging designs
  • Commitment to accessibility and usability best practices
  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Foundational understanding of visual design principles and practices
  • Proficiency in Figma for interface, design, and prototyping
  • Strong grasp of typography, color theory, and layout principles
  • Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong hybrid skills in both UX/UI

Key Skills

  • Basic understanding of responsive and accessible design principles
  • Familiarity with design systems and style guides
  • Knowledge of user experience (UX) best practices
  • Basic understanding of motion design and animation principles
  • Nielsen Norman Group UX Certification
  • Certified User Experience Professional (CUXP)
  • Google UX Design Professional Certificate
  • Interaction Design Foundation (IDF) Certificates
  • Adobe Certified Professional – UX Design
