As a Product Designer, you will design intuitive experiences that empower customers to make informed compliance and risk decisions. You will own the end-to-end design process, collaborating closely with Product and Engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with Product and Engineering to refine problems, explore solutions, and deliver designs that strike the right balance between customer needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
- Own the end-to-end design process, from early discovery to launch, using design best practices to drive impact at every stage.
- Translate complex data challenges into simple, intuitive experiences that build trust and clarity for our customers.
- Use storytelling to bring clarity and meaning to complex business identity and risk concepts, helping others understand the “why” behind your work.
- Shape and evolve Middesk’s design system and visual language to ensure consistency, accessibility, and craft across all products.
Requirements
- Over 6 years of product design experience delivering impactful solutions for B2B products, particularly in domains that involve compliance, risk, fraud, or business operations.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating the ability to design product experiences that turn complex or abstract customer challenges into simple, intuitive solutions.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with product and engineering teams, driving alignment from discovery through delivery.
- A systems thinker who bridges user experience and API-driven systems, understanding how data flows and technical constraints shape design decisions.
- Strong communication skills, able to clearly articulate design decisions and advocate for customers’ needs through compelling storytelling.
- Proficiency in Figma, including prototyping, collaborating in shared design files, and effectively leveraging and maintaining design system components.

- Comfortable working with front-end frameworks (ReactJS) and contributing design changes independently with minimal engineering support
- Experience with AI generative tools and prompt design, applied thoughtfully with an understanding of their limitations
- Bonus skills such as illustration, branding, motion design, photography, or other creative disciplines
