Senior UX Researcher

Lead custom research initiatives to uncover user needs and inform product strategy. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure research insights inform technical development.

Responsibilities

• Lead custom research initiatives to uncover user needs and inform product strategy
• Design and conduct robust quantitative studies, particularly survey-based research, including sampling, data cleaning, analysis, and reporting
• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and implement custom survey experiences
• Partner with engineers working on ranking systems and machine learning models to ensure research insights inform technical development
• Translate complex user data into meaningful recommendations for product and engineering teams
• Synthesize research findings into compelling narratives using presentations, reports, workshops, and other creative formats
• Advocate for user needs across all levels of the organization, ensuring insights are integrated into product decisions
• Work closely with researchers, designers, product managers, data scientists, marketers, and engineers across multiple teams
• Ensure research delivers a holistic view of user behavior and supports product development across the app ecosystem
• Deliver high-quality insights under tight deadlines, maintaining agility across multiple projects
• Identify opportunities to improve research processes and contribute to best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Business, Social Science, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in product or user research
• Proven expertise in research design, survey development, and statistical analysis (e.g., linear/logistic regression, ANOVA, t-tests, Chi-square)
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python (Jupyter), R, or SPSS
• Advanced knowledge of online survey platforms and data analysis tools
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working with complex technologies involving machine learning and ranking systems
