Arthrex, Inc. is seeking a User Experience Researcher to conduct user-centered research, synthesize data, and improve products and design ideas in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work with UX designers, product managers, developers, and business stakeholders to prioritize research opportunities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Design and conduct early stage design and product definition activities, including research, interviews, personas, workshops, and focus groups
  • Contribute to building the UX research process, from participant recruiting, screening, scheduling and writing usability test plans
  • Perform the role of validating design concepts and product ideas with customers and gathering actionable feedback on user needs and usability
  • Participate in collaborative sessions with UX designers to translate research results into personas, prototypes, usage scenarios, and workflows
  • Establish research strategies and conduct studies using a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods
  • Communicate research findings to assorted audiences through written reports and oral presentations

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Human Computer Interaction Design, Human Interaction Design, other Design or equivalent job experience required
  • Advanced degree(s) a plus
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience, including knowledge of a wide range of UX research methods and techniques including multi-screen UX research required
  • Experience with data-driven user research, user personas, observation and analysis, story mapping, wireframes, and task flows required
  • Experience working in the medical industry a plus
  • Experience working in an Agile environment a plus
  • Strong command of quantitative, behavioral analysis and statistics
  • Knowledge of all aspects of user experience research with a particular strength in integrating user research into product designs and design practices
  • Knowledge of human factors, user-centered design processes, interaction design guidelines, methodologies, industry standards and trends, and usability testing methods
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • The ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously and multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of optimal workshop, usertesting.com, userzoom, axure, and invision
