Microsoft's Core Experiences Design team is seeking a designer to enhance foundational product experiences in Power BI, focusing on making data approachable and integrating Copilot capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Design intuitive and cohesive experiences that make it simple for users to visualize, format, and present data in Power BI
- Collaborate with PMs, engineers, and content designers to deliver end-to-end solutions that improve report creation, customization, and usability
- Evolve the design of Power BIโs core visuals and formatting experiences to make powerful capabilities approachable for all users, from beginners to experts
- Translate complex data and visualization concepts into clear, consistent, and accessible design patterns that align with Microsoftโs Fluent design language
- Use research insights, telemetry, and customer feedback to iterate on designs and improve product quality, efficiency, and satisfaction
- Contribute to the shared design system and visual standards that support scalability and consistency across Power BI and the broader Fabric ecosystem
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 3+ years experience working in product or service design OR equivalent experience
- 2+ years experience shipping products, services and/or delivering to B2B customers as a result of an end-to-end design process
- 3+ years in Figma
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
