Microsoft's Core Experiences Design team is seeking a designer to enhance foundational product experiences in Power BI, focusing on making data approachable and integrating Copilot capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Design intuitive and cohesive experiences that make it simple for users to visualize, format, and present data in Power BI
  • Collaborate with PMs, engineers, and content designers to deliver end-to-end solutions that improve report creation, customization, and usability
  • Evolve the design of Power BIโ€™s core visuals and formatting experiences to make powerful capabilities approachable for all users, from beginners to experts
  • Translate complex data and visualization concepts into clear, consistent, and accessible design patterns that align with Microsoftโ€™s Fluent design language
  • Use research insights, telemetry, and customer feedback to iterate on designs and improve product quality, efficiency, and satisfaction
  • Contribute to the shared design system and visual standards that support scalability and consistency across Power BI and the broader Fabric ecosystem

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 3+ years experience working in product or service design OR equivalent experience
  • 2+ years experience shipping products, services and/or delivering to B2B customers as a result of an end-to-end design process
  • 3+ years in Figma
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
