Sr Product Designer

As a Senior Product Designer, you will enhance the digital experience for merchants and their customers by creating intuitive, human-centered designs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design solutions align with business goals and technical feasibility.
Responsibilities
- Research and Testing: Plan and conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights on user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
- Analyze research findings to inform design decisions and create user personas and journey maps.
- Plan and conduct usability tests to evaluate design effectiveness as well as gather user feedback.
- Analyze test results to make data-driven recommendations for design improvements.
- Product Design and UX: Create wireframes, concept designs, prototypes, and product specifications that effectively communicate design solutions and the rationale behind them.
- Collaborate with the Director of Product Design and other team members to iterate on designs based on feedback and usability testing results.
- Maintain comprehensive design documentation, including annotated design specifications, journeys, product maps, and user flows to ensure clarity and consistency across projects.
- Collaboration and Innovation: Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers, fostering a collaborative design environment.
- Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders from across the product triad, effectively communicating the value of user-centered design.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and best practices in UX design, and share knowledge with the team to foster a culture of learning and innovation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in user experience design, preferably in a digital product environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, or military experience.
- Experience designing products at various stages, in an Agile environment, in collaboration with product managers and engineering leads.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, an evidence-based approach, comfort participating in a culture that values healthy and constructive debate.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, collaboration and team building skills.
- Skill in quickly understanding customer needs and mental models, observing how they interact with products and defining solutions to address their pain points.
- Experience in planning and conducting user research.
- Proficiency with digital design and prototyping tools, particularly Figma.
- Thorough understanding of the constraints, capabilities, and conventions of designing for iOS, Android, and responsive web applications.
Key Skills
- Fintech/payments domain experience
- Experience working with AI technology and/or designing AI-powered products
- Mastery of advanced features of design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma Make, Adobe Creative Suite)
