Drive end-to-end product design for QuillBot’s writing applications on iOS and Android, collaborating closely with product managers and engineers. Advocate for user experience by understanding user needs and crafting elegant interactions.
Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end product design from initial user research to final delivery
- Design QuillBot’s next-generation writing applications for iOS and Android
- Ensure seamless integration of mobile applications with all product surfaces
- Contribute to and evolve the design language system
- Advocate for user experience by deeply understanding user needs and behaviors
- Craft experiences with originality, joy, and elegance
- Help nurture a culture of design excellence by participating in critiques, mentoring peers, and contributing to team rituals
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing consumer-facing mobile apps for iOS and Android
- Portfolio showcasing systems thinking, polished visual design, and user-centered processes
- Understanding and use of design systems
- Self-directed, thrives in ambiguity, and moves quickly without sacrificing quality
- Strong interaction and visual design skills
- Prototyping skills (Figma, Claude, code, motion)
- Writing skills, understanding how language shapes experience
- Experience designing for AI-powered tools or willingness to learn
