Associate Product Designer

You will rotate through three product design teams over 12 months, building your skills across different problem spaces. Collaborate closely with design leaders and product managers to understand customer needs and bring ideas to life through research and prototyping.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through 3 product design teams over 12 months, building your skills across different problem spaces.
• Work closely with design leaders and product managers to understand how our customers use Datadog and what they need to succeed.
• Bring ideas to life through research, prototyping, and interaction design, then ship them in production.
• Document and present your design to the team and work to get buy-in from key stakeholders.
• Collaborate directly with engineers to understand technical constraints and opportunities.

Requirements

• In the process of receiving/ have a degree in Computer Science or Human Computer Interaction or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Targeting a January 2026 full-time start date.
• Portfolio with a solid foundation in human-centered practices that showcases strong interaction and visual design skills.
• Ability to express ideas via rich stories, prototypes and code.
• Aptitude to come up with novel, simple solutions for complex problems.
• Experience with Figma or similar design tools.
• Experience with Vibecoding and GenerativeAI tools.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, curiosity and eagerness to learn and grow.
• Passion for creating a high-quality user experience, down to those little details that matter.
