The Senior Design Systems Designer at Agoda will help scale the Agoda Design System (ADS) to become a best-in-class design system. This role involves driving collaboration with cross-functional partners and ensuring the system evolves to improve product quality and efficiency.

  • Bring your expertise in building design systems that balance flexibility, scalability, and ease of use.
  • Apply systems thinking to create reusable patterns that drive consistency.
  • Consider competing needs and dependencies across teams to craft effective solutions.
  • Thrive in the details and are an expert in best practices, creating clean, modern UI systems.
  • Push for accessibility and craft elegant solutions that work well for users of different abilities across various types of devices.
  • Consider technical opportunities to drive delightful designs, whilst balancing the trade-offs of implementation cost and long-term maintenance.
  • Build a deep understanding of our customers deeply, and use data to guide decisions and measure success.
  • Work proactively across teams to uncover needs, drive alignment, and generate enthusiasm for design system adoption.
  • Establish and enforce healthy processes, driving alignment across teams with a clear impact.
  • Coach mid-level and junior designers to become better design systems designers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working in user experience, product, or relevant design field
  • 3+ years experience working in an explicit design systems role
  • User-Centered Design approach, designs interfaces that prioritize user needs, behaviors, and Accessibility
  • Visual Design Skills, has mastery of typography, color theory, layout, and visual hierarchy.
  • Prototyping and Wireframing, ability to builds wireframe and prototypes to communicate design ideas effectively
  • Interaction Design experience, creating engaging experiences with animations, transitions, and micro-interactions
  • Excellent proficiency with relevant tools, standards and frameworks (Figma, Design Tokens, WCAG etc.)
  • Experience working with creative directors, motion designers, and illustrators as well as product designers, engineers, and product managers
  • Knowledge of Design Systems, develops and maintains design systems for consistency across platforms
  • High-level understanding or experience with frontend development (CSS, React, SwiftUI, Jetpack compose etc.)
  • Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: Analyses user pain points and proposes innovative, business-aligned solutions
