Praemium is hiring a UX/UI Designer to join their Product Development & IT team, embedded within their Trading & Client Experience Tribe, to lead the end-to-end UX/UI design process.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end UX/UI design process, from user research through to prototypes and delivery.
  • Work autonomously while aligning outputs to business goals and customer needs.
  • Partner daily with Developers to ensure design intent is understood, implemented accurately, and consistent with standards.
  • Champion design quality, accessibility and consistency across platforms.
  • Conduct usability testing and apply insights to improve the experience.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, BAs and QA to embed user needs into every sprint.
  • Be a design advocate within your squad and tribe, balancing best practices with pragmatism.

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience designing web and mobile applications, ideally in a product or agile environment.
  • Comfortable being the only designer in your squad, working independently.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions across disciplines.
  • Proven track record of working closely with Developers to see designs through to delivery.
  • A thoughtful portfolio showcasing design process, problem-solving and impact.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Sketch, or InVision.
  • Understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is an advantage.
  • Experience in financial services or other complex, regulated domains is highly valued.
  • A strong cultural fit: collaborative, pragmatic, and able to thrive across design, tech and product mindsets.
