The UI/UX Designer will partner with product managers and engineers to design user-friendly interfaces and conduct user research to inform design decisions. They will advocate for user-centered design principles and ensure designs are accessible and aligned with best practices.
Responsibilities
- Partner with product managers and engineers to design user-friendly, visually compelling interfaces.
- Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to inform design decisions.
- Translate user needs and business requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
- Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and reusable components.
- Advocate for user-centered design principles within the squad and wider organisation.
- Ensure designs are accessible, inclusive, and aligned with best practices.
- Collaborate with engineering to ensure seamless implementation of designs.
- Stay up to date with design trends, tools, and emerging UX practices.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience as a UI/UX Designer or Product Designer.
- Strong portfolio showcasing web and mobile design work.
- Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g. Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
- Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
- Solid understanding of responsive design and accessibility standards.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work within cross-functional squads.
- Familiarity with Agile development environments a plus.
- Background in healthcare or other regulated industries a bonus.
