Product Designer (Senior)

Function is seeking a creative and passionate designer to join their team, focusing on creating exceptional user-friendly experiences for their health data platform.

Responsibilities

• Product Understanding: Comprehend product goals, identify requirements, and address user problems to optimize both member impact and company benefits.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Guide cross-functional teams through the design process, ensuring the successful implementation of new features and functionalities across multiple platforms.
• Solution Presentation: Illustrate and present creative solutions that enhance user experience; effectively communicate design rationale to stakeholders.
• Research and Integration: Support user experience research, share findings, and integrate insights into product development to continually refine user interactions.
• Design System Management: Work within, expand, and maintain a comprehensive and efficient design system, ensuring consistency and quality in design outputs.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience, with at least 3 years of UI/UX design experience and 2 years of dedicated product design experience.
• Proven experience in design principles and best practices, including typography, desktop/mobile UI, color schemes, layout, and iconography.
• Possesses a diverse and compelling online portfolio that showcases a wide range of design projects.
• Critical thinking and willingness to challenge assumptions.
• Bias toward action, demonstrated ability to take initiative, make decisions under uncertainty, and move projects forward.
• Entrepreneurial spirit, strong adaptability to changing business needs.
• Strong communication skills with a proven track record of meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort with remote work environments, demonstrating the ability to stay productive and connected with the team irrespective of physical location.

• Knowledgeable in cross-platform design principles for web, iOS, and Android, ensuring seamless user experiences across all platforms.

• Familiarity with Health Technologies: Knowledge of or experience with popular health technologies, such as Oura, Whoop, Apple Watch, and CGMs (Continuous Glucose Monitors).
