As a UI/UX Designer, you will work with a team to create engaging user experiences for web and simulation applications. You will be involved in the full spectrum of the digital creative process, advocating for design-centered changes and improvements.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the product manager to understand clients’ vision and users’ needs
- Build skills in designing large-scale digital experiences
- Involved with the full spectrum of the digital creative process, including user research, information architecture, wireframing, rapid prototyping, interface design, and front-end development
- Advocate for the prioritizations of design-centered changes, refinements, and improvements
- Help clients meet their mission by changing the face of the warfighter's experience
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience working on graphic design projects and creative direction assignments
- Experience with Adobe CC, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat Pro
- Experience developing wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using tools like Figma
- Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and analyzing feedback to iterate on designs
- Ability to work with the client to define project requirements and provide process advice for optimal visual communication production
- Ability to provide a portfolio showcasing a broad range of graphic design competencies
- Ability to deliver innovative solutions and superior visual communication products
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree
Key Skills
- Experience with data visualization, finished intelligence, infographic production, post-processing data, and flow charts
- Experience with adhering to brand management guidelines
- Experience with working in IC or DoD environments
- Experience ensuring design consistency across platforms while adhering to mobile design guidelines
- Knowledge of human-centered design methodology or design thinking principles
- Knowledge of WordPress, Joomla!, Content Management Systems, HTML, CSS, or MATLAB
- Ability to be a self-starter, pay strict attention to detail, and multitask across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Possession of excellent verbal and written skills, including communicating presentations to internal and external professionals at all levels
- Secret clearance
