Assistant Graphic Designer, Apparel

The Assistant Graphic Designer will design apparel and creative assets for monthly Kith Treats releases, focusing on imaginative, food-inspired concepts. This role involves collaborating with the Treats team to develop concepts and create engaging designs that align with the brand's nostalgic theme.
Responsibilities
- Design monthly Kith Treats apparel (tees, hoodies, and additional graphics) from concept to completion
- Develop original illustrations and characters inspired by Kith Treats' food-driven brand world
- Partner with the Treats team to brainstorm concepts and visual directions tied to each month’s flavor or theme
- Create engaging, nostalgic games for cereal box-inspired packaging (word searches, puzzles, scrambles, etc.)
- Support additional needs of the graphic design team with collections such as in-store exclusives, regional capsules, and illustrative focused collections
- Present design concepts directly to the CEO and head of graphics
- Prepare tech packs for approved designs, communicate with factories, and review samples for quality and accuracy
- Maintain strong alignment with Kith Treats’ visual language and brand standards
Requirements
- 1–3 years of professional graphic design experience (apparel industry preferred)
- Strong illustration ability and ability to design into narrative graphics
- Ability to brainstorm and visualize concepts tied to food, culture, and nostalgia
- Familiarity with apparel production and tech pack creation, but not a necessity
- Understanding of the Kith Treats brand, tone, and visual identity
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Key Skills
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- Comfortable illustrating digitally (Wacom tablet, procreate or equivalent)
- Strong sense of color, composition, and typography
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and file management skills
- Ability to think critically and solve design problems creatively
