UX/UI Designer at NavVis to make cutting-edge technology intuitive and accessible for BIM/VDC teams, surveyors, and field operators.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of UX/UI design for IVION Processing and device system software.
- Develop a deep understanding of our products, customers, competitors, and jobs-to-be-done; map the complete user journey end-to-end in partnership with key stakeholders.
- Take the perspective of our users to identify the biggest workflow pain points and solve them one-by-one.
- Deliver UI designs in Figma using our design system, ensuring consistency across products.
- Conduct competitor analysis, usability testing, and workflow studies.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and software developers to create a shared understanding of user needs and priorities.
- Improve our existing features incrementally as well as design new features from scratch.
- Use qualitative and quantitative user data to make informed design decisions and continuously improve the user experience.
- Support the development team during scrum processes to ensure design vision makes it into the final product.
- Proactively communicate with stakeholders and articulate design decisions.
- Strengthen the UX culture at NavVis by sharing your perspective, bringing structure to discussions, and helping the team raise the bar together.
Requirements
- A background in Interaction Design, Visual/Graphic Design, HCI, Media Informatics or equivalent practical experience.
- 2β4 years of relevant practical experience in UX/UI design or related fields.
- Strong experience in Figma and delivering UI.
- A solid understanding of usability and user-centered design practices.
- Ability to think analytically about workflows and measure design impact.
- A strong sense of clean, functional visual design.
- Great teamwork and strong communication skills.
- Curiosity and ability to learn about complex technologies (e.g., SLAM, 3D workflows, processing pipelines).
