A UI/UX Designer role to design engaging, user-centered interfaces for complex software solutions, supporting critical mission operations.
Responsibilities
- Design modern, responsive, and secure user interfaces for web and desktop applications.
- Conduct user research, stakeholder interviews, and usability testing to inform design decisions.
- Create wireframes, mockups, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs using tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
- Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and component libraries aligned with accessibility standards (e.g., Section 508, WCAG).
- Collaborate with front-end developers to implement designs and ensure visual consistency across products.
- Participate in Agile Scrum practices, including sprint planning, reviews, demos, and retrospectives.
- Mentor junior team members on UI/UX principles, human factors, and user-centered design methodologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in UI/UX Design, Human Factors, Game Design & Development, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3+ years of UI/UX design experience, ideally in interactive experiences such as games, simulations, or training software.
- Proficiency in wireframing, mockups, prototyping, and UI pattern development.
- Experience conducting user research, usability testing, workflow analysis, and stakeholder interviews.
- Strong skills in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
- Self-driven, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
- Familiarity with full UX lifecycle and maintaining design systems and style guides.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain one is required.
