The Graphic Designer will create and deliver a wide range of visual assets, including social media graphics, infographics, and print materials. They will also contribute to campaigns and events, ensuring design work aligns with SMEC's brand guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Create and deliver a wide range of visual assets – including social media graphics, infographics, presentations, diagrams, maps, print materials, animations, and video
- Contribute to the conceptualisation and execution of campaigns and events through strong, consistent design outputs
- Apply and enforce SMEC’s brand guidelines, ensuring design work is aligned, professional, and impactful
- Support the design of publications, capability statements, and high-value bids
- Provide guidance to internal teams, enabling them to produce quality, on-brand materials
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in graphic design, visual communications, or equivalent relevant experience
- Deep understanding of design principles and ability to apply best practice across digital and print
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects)
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
- Approximately 4+ years experience in a similar role
- Photography, videography, and editing skills (desirable)
- Previous exposure to digital/web design (preferably WordPress)
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
