Take full ownership of complex features or product areas, driving the user experience from concept to launch. Collaborate closely with engineers and product managers to define technical requirements and ensure design feasibility.

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of complex, end-to-end features or product areas, buildout of users personas and stories, driving the user experience from ambiguous concept to launch with minimal supervision.
  • Create intuitive user flows, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes that communicate design intent and align with business objectives.
  • Actively drive the design system, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and usability across all product touch points. Advocate for design system standards and best practices during the implementation phase, ensuring the final product reflects the intended user experience.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and product managers to define technical requirements and ensure design feasibility early in the process.
  • Leverage knowledge of HTML/CSS to build high-fidelity, functional prototypes, provide style recommendations that accelerate the engineering hand-off and reduce implementation overhead.
  • Act as the "player-coach" and dedicated mentor to mid-level UI/UX designers, guiding them through long-term professional development and strategic growth.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Design, specifically designing B2B user interfaces for complex SaaS applications, with a strong portfolio demonstrating high-impact projects.
  • Strategic Influence, proven track record of influencing product-level decision-making and successfully negotiating design trade-offs with engineering constraints.
  • Expert proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools, including Figma, Sketch, or similar platforms, as well as components of the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with front-end development in HTML and CSS/SCSS; Ability to produce CSS assets which allows for highly effective communication with engineers, superior code-informed design decisions, and accelerated implementations.
  • Prototyping, ability to create high-fidelity, functional prototypes using advanced tools to validate complex interactions before engineering implementation.
  • Self-motivated, autonomous and hands-on, experienced and highly comfortable in working in a full remote environment
  • Quick to adapt to new things and flexible, ability to work on multiple concurrent projects
  • Respectful of others, strong work ethic and with integrity
  • Passion for best-in-class technology products and customer experience
  • Tech-savvy and inquisitive, strong interest in and aptitude for learning new technologies and design skills
  • A Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, or equivalent experience required.
  • Degrees in Computer Science, Graphic Design, Software Engineering, Fine Art or equivalent experience are also highly valued.
