Graphic Designer I

The Graphic Designer I will design engaging print and digital materials to support the store's marketing initiatives. This includes developing promotional content for various platforms while ensuring alignment with the Iowa State University brand.
Responsibilities
- Design engaging print and digital materials that support the store’s retail, web, and event marketing initiatives
- Develop promotional content for email, web, social media, in-store signage, and advertising campaigns while ensuring alignment with the Iowa State University brand
- Manage multiple design projects and meet deadlines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors as needed
- Provide limited supervisory support during store-wide events and on a rotating weekend schedule (approximately 3 times per semester)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and/or Premiere Pro)
- Experience with web content management systems or e-commerce platforms (such as NetSuite)
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms (Klaviyo, Constant Contact, MailChimp)
- Experience with brand and identity development
- Product photography and video editing experience
- Retail or e-commerce design experience
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS for digital design and troubleshooting

- Strong creative and visual design skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple design projects and meet deadlines
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Working knowledge of photography, video editing, and digital publishing tools
- Understanding of responsive design principles and web content best practices
- Ability to interpret analytics data to understand customer behavior and engagement
- Adaptability and willingness to contribute to a team-oriented environment
