Multimedia Specialist & Graphic Designer

The Multimedia Specialist and Graphic Designer will design and produce a wide range of creative assets, including print collateral, digital graphics, and video content. They will also manage multiple concurrent projects while ensuring visual consistency and brand integrity across all divisions.
Responsibilities
- Design and produce a wide range of creative assets, including print collateral, digital graphics, social media content, motion graphics, video, and short-form storytelling pieces.
- Edit and produce video content for use across various digital channels, including social media, web, and print.
- Steward the Mount Vernon brand across all divisionsāAdmissions, Philanthropy, Athletics, MV Ventures, MVSO,, Faculty, and Student initiativesāensuring visual consistency and brand integrity.
- Develop and evolve brand guidelines, campaign identities, and design systems in partnership with the Senior Graphic Designer and Chief Brand Officer.
- Collaborate with internal partners to conceptualize and deliver creative solutions that meet project goals and timelines.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritizing workload in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
- Participate in brainstorming and strategy sessions, contributing fresh, forward-thinking ideas.
- Maintain an organized digital asset management system for design files and templates.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of professional graphic design experience; preference for candidates with experience in education, agency, or in-house creative environments.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating creative rangeāprint, digital, and video.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and After Effects).
- Experience with motion graphics and video editing.
- Knowledge of Canva and Capcut.
- Strong technical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and deliver exceptional work on tight deadlines.
- Bachelorās Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field (preferred).
- Previous experience at an Agency (preferred).

About The Mount Vernon School
Recognizing the need for a new paradigm, The Mount Vernon School created a program that intentionally stepped back from traditional textbook lecture-based education, opening up avenues for students to engage in authentic, Interactive problem-solving, allowing for a greater depth of. This school within a school model is designed as a ātest kitchenā for best practices in the future of 9th - 12th-grade education. 9th graders onboard by learning the culture and tools of collaboration, design, and project management. 11th and 12th-grade students participate in DESIGN BRIEFS, an immersive nine-week project cycle, partnering them with Fortune 500 businesses, nonprofits, and startups. Design Briefs: A small student team meets with their client to discuss an authentic challenge for the company. As students use the Design Brief Frameworkā¢ļø to Discover, Define, Design, and Deploy solutions, they communicate with clients periodically for direction and feedback.
