Adaptive, a cybersecurity startup, is hiring a senior-level Product Designer to build innovative products and features from concept to completion.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design of new products and features through the full 0–1 development cycle
- Collaboratively participate in defining the company strategy and product roadmap
- Plan and execute user research necessary to inform product decisions
- Rapidly design and prototype ideas with tight feedback loops to quickly validate product direction
- Deliver compelling designs with an appropriate balance of viability, functionality, and delightful user experiences
- Leverage data to effectively articulate your thought process and strategic rationale to help align stakeholders
- Elegantly but firmly negotiate with product management and engineering to properly scope each release
- Partner with engineering to assure quality in functionality and design with every release
- Help the design team define and maintain necessary processes to work quickly, consistently, and effectively
Requirements
- 4+ years working at a senior level in product design
- Established track record of impactful, collaborative design work in a fast-paced startup environment
- Experience creating designs for every step of the process, including wireframes, diagrams, mockups, and prototypes
- Expert-level skills at design and prototyping tools, primarily Figma
- Work examples that showcase beautifully shipped designs that you can talk through in depth about process, outcomes, and learnings
- Strong sense of initiative, thoughtful synthesis of feedback, and swift adaptability when faced with ambiguity
- Strong understanding of the full product development cycle
