Graphic Designer

The Graphic Designer will conceptualize, design, and execute visual content for digital and print platforms to enhance brand identity. Collaboration with various departments is essential to support marketing campaigns and digital media initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain branded visual content for digital and print media
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency of brand, message, and design across all platforms
- Collaborate on the development and maintenance of the Mariners’ website (UX/UI) and support with CMS updates
- Apply best practices in responsive design, accessibility, and SEO to digital content
- Design social media graphics, motion graphics, video assets, and digital ads optimized for various platforms
- Support campaign development from concept to execution, ensuring creative alignment with goals and target audiences
- Maintain and contribute to a growing digital asset library and style guide
- Translate complex ideas and narratives into visual concepts and layouts
- Analyze engagement metrics and iterate on designs to optimize impact
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD, After Effects)
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in both digital and print design
- Knowledge of SEO, analytics tools, and how they inform design strategy
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A keen eye for detail, visual balance, typography, and composition
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Visual Communications, or a related field preferred
- 4+ years of experience in graphic design, preferably in an in-house marketing team, nonprofit, or cultural institution
