The Graphic Designer is responsible for the design, development, and execution of original content and layouts for multiple projects. This role involves collaborating with marketing team members to ensure strong and consistent design across various channels.
Responsibilities
- Design variety of layouts, identify and select style and composition of photographs, in order to execute vision for a variety of delivery methods, including but not limited to signage, mailers, flyers, postcards, truck wraps, and billboards.
- Create original graphics and other visuals to produce digital signage, advertisement and other content to live on social media and online displays.
- Tailor graphics to fit a variety of layouts for print and digital advertisements.
- Leverage marketing collateral, such as banner ads, direct mailers, billboards, etc., to tell a story and create an experience that drive the audience to action.
- Responsible for developing creatives and proofs that are brand-focused, audience-centric, and effective.
- Develop and share brand standards across the organization (font, tone, style, feel).
- Produce variety of internal resources including but not limited to posters, yard book and signage guide.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions with focus on design, inspiration, copywrite, projects, campaigns, and audience.
- Collaborate with team members, website, email, photographers, buyers, social media, and vendors on design and delivery of campaigns.
- Capitalize on in-house photographers by communicating vision and providing direction as needed.
- Pitch proofs to key stakeholders and Marketing Manager.
- Develop an understanding of vendors, products and target audiences.
- Work with Buyers to resolve any substantive questions and ensure clarity regarding products.
- Check product pricing, SKUs, visuals, information, etc., in assigned projects for accuracy.
- Develop differentiated and compelling features/messaging that is tailored for target audience.
- Work with marketing team, Buyers and vendors to resolve any substantive questions and ensure clarity in text, keeping in mind the communication medium (print, digital, online, etc.).
- Rewrite and copy-fit text as needed.
- Ensure final approval of Marketing Manager as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, marketing, or a related field; or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of graphic design experience executing graphic design projects of all sizes from concept to completion preferred.
- Mastery or proficient with Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, etc.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Creative and innovative thinker with an eye for visual presentation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing several projects simultaneously within set deadlines.
- High level of responsiveness and ability to adapt to change.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong collaborator with ability to build relationships.
Key Skills
