The UX Designer will manage and evolve the existing Design System, ensuring adherence to accessibility standards and collaborating with developers for seamless implementation. They will conduct user research, create design prototypes, and partner with various stakeholders to define project requirements.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and evolve the existing Design System by creating reusable components, patterns, and guidelines.
- Ensure adherence to accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and best practices in all design elements.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure seamless implementation of design components into code.
- Conduct user research to gather insights and validate design decisions.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that align with the Design System.
- Test designs with users to ensure usability and effectiveness.
- Partner with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables.
- Act as a liaison between business, design, and development teams to ensure the Design System is consistently applied across projects.
- Present design concepts and updates to stakeholders for feedback.
- Audit existing products for inconsistencies and recommend improvements using the Design System.
- Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices related to UX design and design systems.
Requirements
- Min. 3 yearsβ sustained professional experience in UX/UI design with at least 1β2 years working on or with a Design System.
- English: B2 (preferred C1).
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma.
- Strong understanding of front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) to collaborate effectively with developers.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and inclusive design principles.
- Experienced in user-centered design principles.
- Must possess strong organizational skills with relevant user experience expertise, preferably in a regulated industry.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting ideas and collaborating across teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to think multiple steps ahead, anticipate whatβs needed, and take actions.
- Strong work ethic and time management skills with dedication to meeting or exceeding expectations despite contending priorities.
