As a UI/UX Designer, you will create intuitive user flows and designs for data visualizations to facilitate business decision-making. You will collaborate with an agile team to ensure designs are feasible and implemented accurately.
Responsibilities
- Creatives intuitive user flow to ensure solutions to easy to use.
- Designs intuitive data visualizations that are easy to understand and use for facilitating business decision making.
- Develops detailed interaction designs, screen flows, and prototypes to clearly articulate solutions.
- Conducts concept and usability testing to iteratively validate and improve design solutions.
- Creates compelling visual designs that align to company product brand (if applicable) standards.
- Creates distinctive, branded digital experiences that are desirable and consistent across multiple platforms, devices, and channels.
- Actively collaborates as part of an agile team to ensure designs are feasible and implemented accurately.
- Tracks user experience metrics and reports on the success of UX improvements, including through analytics.
- Produces design documentation and creates expected deliverables: visual guides and style, visual design concepts, wireframes, visual mock-ups, clickable prototypes, interface guidelines.
- Constantly monitors top design trends and UI best practices to enrich the UI of a product or a solution.
- Collaborates with other designers within the team or the chapter to solve design challenges and ensure a level of design consistency and coherence across the digital channel.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in design, multimedia, or computer science.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in underlying conceptual models based on human-centered design principles.
- Broad understanding of data engineering, analytics, and machine learning outcomes.
- Proven experience working in design teams in an agile product development setting.
- Skilled at creating interaction design solutions for web, desktop, and mobile applications.
- Strong visual design skills, able to create compelling, branded, high-fidelity product screens.
- Familiar working with design systems that consistently scale across platforms.
- Focuses on agile delivery with a “fail-fast, succeed early” mindset and measurable outcomes.
- Strong communication skills with ability to articulate the value of a design choice to users and stakeholders.
- Creative problem solving and analytical skills with ability to synthesize ideas into tangible solutions for design.
- Highly detail oriented.
- A team player and user centric.
Key Skills
- Technical experience (e.g Sketch, Figma, or Adobe Suite).
- Nice to have experience (e.g. Jira, Invision, Zeplin, HTML, JS, CSS, Material-UI, React-JS, Boostrap).
