Graphic Designer I

The Graphic Designer I supports graphic design and photography projects for marketing and communications needs. Responsibilities include designing promotional materials and creating effective graphic interfaces for websites and applications.
Responsibilities
- Designs promotional brochures, posters, digital signage, newsletters, graphic marks, and other printed materials for use in the recruitment and retention of students as well as advertising and marketing initiatives for the university
- Designs effective and accessible graphic interfaces for web sites, pages and applications
- Creates motion graphics for use on web sites and multi-media presentations as needed
- Maintains documentation for each project including approvals, comments, drafts and artwork
- Collaborates with university customers as needed from concept to creation to customer support
- Acts as a technical resource in the area of graphics and publication design software, hardware and techniques
- Works with the university’s digital signage software
- Serves as the university’s principal photographer for university events and studio photography
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphics Design, Fine Arts, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Education
