Senior Product Designer

Lead complex and high-impact product design projects that enhance user experience and compliance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable and consistent interfaces.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex and high-impact product design projects that help raise the quality bar for our users, from conceptual models to UI design.
- Develop prototypes and patterns for scalable, consistent interfaces.
- Collaborate with design executive leaders to create compelling representations of the very best examples of design at Atlassian.
- Champion design craft and mentor other designers.
- Collaborate with a range of cross-functional teams (including Engineering, Product Management, Research, Design, Marketing, and Data Science) across our Atlassian product portfolio.
- Conduct user research using various methods and principles to gain insights into customer needs and inform design solutions.
- Engage with customers and sales teams for insights and feedback.
Requirements
- 5+ years in product design, with a track record of designing complex or enterprise-level software. Experience in security, data management, identity access, compliance, or platform design is highly valued, as is experience in creating conference-ready decks, multimedia and presentation templates.
- AI Fluency (nice to have): Comfortable designing AI products that leverage AI, and using AI tools in the design process.
- Strategic & Systems Thinking: Expertise in design systems, information architecture, and creating frameworks that support diverse customer use cases.
- Craft Mastery: Deep understanding of interaction and visual design, accessibility, and inclusive design principles. Skilled in prototyping, user testing, and iterative design.
- Communication: Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, able to clearly articulate design rationale and build consensus among stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
