Senior Product Designer, Yahoo Weather

Collaborate with product management and engineering to design and deliver features for Yahoo Weather on desktop and mobile web. Design end-to-end user experiences and ensure designs are grounded in user insights and data.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product management and engineering to design and deliver features for Yahoo Weather on desktop and mobile web
• Work across teams to deliver new integrations of weather data and content across Yahoo product surfaces
• Design the end-to-end user experiences for products, driving and/or collaborating with other designers on research, ideation, prototyping, and validation
• Partner closely with product and engineering teams to drive innovation and maintain a high quality bar
• Champion user-centered design principles and ensure designs are grounded in user insights, data, and are accessible
• Build relationships across the organization and contribute to evolving and improving design systems

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in user-centered experience design
• A portfolio of work that demonstrates expertise in designing successful data-dense experiences
• A solid understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
• Practical experience working across desktop and mobile web, with an emphasis on responsive design
• Experience using and contributing to a design system is a plus
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• A track record of delivering high-quality, design solutions that users love
• Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma or Framer
• Has worked with or currently integrates AI design tools into their process
