The Associate Product Designer supports the UX design team by contributing to UX design projects that enhance user experience. They take a hands-on approach to design, ensuring user needs and business goals are met through compelling design solutions.
Responsibilities
- Support DesignOps activities and Design system documentation, with the creation and standardization of UX work under the mentorship of senior designers.
- Learn and apply a wide array of user-centered design methodologies to create engaging and intuitive user interfaces.
- Lead small-scale design projects where you design and iterate user interfaces based on feedback from user research and usability testing.
- Foster effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineering and product management, to ensure design concepts are translated into implementable solutions.
- Assist Senior Designers in leading creative design sessions, promoting innovative thinking and problem-solving among team members.
- Contribute to the enhancement and scalability of the design system, advocating for consistency and design excellence.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the Product & Design function.
- Contribute to the preparation of business presentations related to Product & Design related updates for various stakeholders, on periodic and ad hoc basis as and when required.
- Support on performing regular audit of various processes and data for the Product & Design function in order to identify gaps, and propose corrective actions.
- Contribute to the review and update of the Product & Design function policies and procedures related and ensure it is implemented and reported on.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a similar field.
- 0-2 years of experience in UX/UI design with a portfolio showcasing user-centric design solutions.
- Demonstrated design proficiency, with a track record of applying user-centered design principles to solve design problems.
- Good hands-on experience on design tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite, with a commitment to continuous learning and skill enhancement.
