Senior Product Designer (Temporary Full Time Position)

As a Senior Product Designer, you will lead design projects on Tidepool’s Data Management Platform, focusing on patient and clinician experiences. You will collaborate with engineers and product managers to create meaningful designs and advocate for users.
Responsibilities
- Product Design Lead design projects on Tidepool’s Data Management Platform
- Translate broad need statements into meaningful designs
- Partner closely with product, engineering, and quality assurance engineers
- Build and manage a comprehensive design system and component library
- Plan, design, and lead a wide range of user research
- Develop deep understanding and empathy for people living with diabetes and healthcare providers
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a product designer or interaction designer
- Strong portfolio demonstrating design process solving problems for mobile and responsive web platforms
- Strong knowledge of visual design fundamentals
- Experience working in Tidepool’s task management system, Jira
- Fluency with design tools such as Figma

About Tidepool
Tidepool is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to making diabetes data more accessible, actionable, and meaningful for people with diabetes, their care teams, and researchers through our open source software which includes: Tidepool Web, Tidepool Uploader, and Tidepool Mobile. Tidepool Loop is a project to build and support an FDA-regulated version of Loop, to be available in the OS App Store, intended to work with commercially available insulin pumps and CGMs. Tidepool Loop is not currently available for use.
