Marcus by Goldman Sachs is seeking a Product Designer to lead design initiatives across mobile and web, focusing on user needs and aligning with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Partnering with key teams across the business to explore different approaches to solve end-user problems
- Working closely with marketing teams to push the brand to be consumer-friendly
- Leading design initiatives across mobile and web focusing on user needs whilst aligning with core business objectives
- Collaborating closely with Product & Engineering
- Working with the Design system and the wider team to develop it within the Consumer Brand
- Championing opportunities for user research
- Working with US Marcus colleagues and other key personnel to influence and improve Design standards
- Bringing innovative thinking to the way we work and the way customers and agents interact with our products
- Using data and insights to inform design decisions
- Collaborating with Research and Analytics teams to identify improvements using a data-driven approach
- Using these findings to drive design improvements
- Collaborating with Marketing to review output from agencies
Requirements
- Seasoned Product Design practitioner with extensive experience in using best practices to design solutions
- Experience designing and delivering designs optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces
- Experience of working in a regulated environment, balancing operational, regulatory, and efficiency demands
- Strong communication skills to discuss design processes, ideas, and solutions clearly and effectively
- Experience with UX writing (preferred but not essential)
- Critical thinking about Design processes and influencing business stakeholders
- Clear understanding of user-centred design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, usability, and accessibility concerns
- Knowledge of Design tooling such as Figma and Adobe suite products
- Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills (a plus)
