Tata Elxsi is looking for a UI/UX designer to assist in designing UI layouts, components, and visual styles for automotive HMI platforms in Bangalore.
Responsibilities
- Assist in designing UI layouts, components, and visual styles for automotive HMI platforms
- Contribute to UX design by creating wireframes, user flows, and interaction patterns
- Support design research activities, including competitive benchmarking, persona development, and usability studies
- Create high-fidelity prototypes and design specifications in Figma for development teams
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX researchers, visual designers, and HMI developers
- Ensure designs are aligned with brand guidelines, accessibility standards, and automotive UX best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in design, Interaction Design, Visual Communication, or related field
- Strong proficiency in Figma for UI design, prototyping, and component-based workflows
- Understanding of UI design principles (color theory, typography, layout) and UX fundamentals (information architecture, usability)
- Basic knowledge of design research methods (user interviews, surveys, usability testing)
- Strong visual design skills with attention to detail and pixel-perfect execution
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Passion for automotive design and emerging in-vehicle technologies
