Plastics.com is looking for a Lead Product Designer to create intuitive interfaces for their Agentic AI platform, Herman AI, focusing on user-centered design and technical skills.
Responsibilities
- Design vision: Deeply understand where we are trying to go, and have a point of view on how to get there, determining the milestones along the way.
- UI/UX Design: Lead creation of intuitive, accessible, and visually cohesive interfaces, including wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs, optimized for user experience across web and mobile devices.
- Prototyping and Testing: Building interactive prototypes to test design concepts, iterating based on user feedback and usability testing to refine the product’s functionality and flow.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and AI to translate complex data into simple, elegant workflows.
- Design Systems and Consistency: Develop and maintain our design system to ensure consistency and scalability.
- User Research: Conduct user research and usability testing with engineers, distributors, and manufacturers.
- Feature Ideation and Iteration: Contributing to product strategy by proposing new features or improvements, and iterating designs based on analytics, user feedback, and A/B testing.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of experience designing digital products (preferably marketplace, SaaS, or e-commerce platforms)
- A portfolio demonstrating strong UX and interaction design across web and mobile products
- Expertise with Figma and modern prototyping tools
- Experience designing for data-heavy or workflow-driven products
- Strong product thinking – ability to turn ambiguous ideas into structured, actionable design decisions
- Thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment
