As a Product Designer, you will shape IITTALA’s seasonal collections and lead the design process from concept to prototype. You will ensure that each design reflects IITTALA’s distinct identity and high standards of quality while balancing creativity with commercial viability.
Responsibilities
- Translate seasonal briefs and concepts into innovative, high-quality product designs
- Build mood boards defining silhouettes, materials, finishes, and colour palettes with the Creative Director
- Develop design packs, technical drawings, and 3D models that ensure manufacturability and brand alignment
- Collaborate with Product Development, Merchandising, and Sourcing throughout the design process
- Lead prototype reviews, capturing and acting on stakeholder feedback
- Contribute to innovation workshops and new product concepting
- Stay informed on design trends, materials, manufacturing techniques, and new design tools
- Balance creative vision with commercial, sustainability, and functional requirements
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in product design, preferably within a premium or luxury brand
- Strong understanding of design processes, materials, and production capabilities
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, and KeyShot; experience with AI tools such as Midjourney is a plus
- Skilled in 3D modelling, 3D printing, and preparing technical drawings
- Experience working with factories and cross-functional teams
- Strong communication, presentation, and time management skills
- A collaborative, problem-solving mindset with adaptability under deadlines
- Fully fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
